现任景德镇陶瓷大学二级教授、博士研究生导师、博士后研究生导师，中国陶瓷艺术大师，陶瓷文化高等研究院院长；第十三届全国人大代表，国务院学位委员会八届学科评议组设计学成员，教育部高等学校设计学教学指导委员会副主任委员,中国研究生教育指导委员会设计学专家, 中华陶瓷大师工作委员会主席，中国工艺美术大师专家委员会委员，中国创新设计产业战略联盟创新文化专业委员会主任，中国工艺美术大师评委，长江学者评委，巴渝学者特聘教授，享受国务院特殊津贴，联合国教科文组织国际陶瓷学会会员，江西省美术家协会副主席，江西省工业设计学会会长，江西省留学人员联谊会理事会副会长。
获中国轻工业联合会、中国陶瓷工业协会联合授予的“陶瓷艺术与设计教育杰出贡献奖”；江西省委省政府授予“突出贡献人才”称号。

He is currently a second-level professor, doctoral supervisor, post-doctoral supervisor, the dean of Institute of Advanced Studies in Ceramic Culture of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, a Master of Chinese Ceramic Art, deputy to the 13th National People's Congress, a member of the Eighth (Design) Discipline Assessment Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, vice chairman of the Design Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, a design expert of China Graduate Education Steering Committee, and chairman of the Working Committee of Chinese Ceramic Masters. He is also a member of the Expert Committee of Chinese Arts and Crafts Masters, director of the Innovative Culture Committee of Innovation Design Industry Strategic Alliance of China, a judge of Chinese Arts and Crafts Masters and the Yangtze River Scholars, and Distinguished Professor of Bayu Scholars. Enjoying a special allowance of the State Council and membership of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) of UNESCO, he is the vice chairman of Jiangxi Artist Association, president of Jiangxi Industrial Design Society, and Vice President of the Council of Jiangxi Provincial Association of Returned Overseas Students.
He was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award for Ceramic Art and Design Education by China Light Industry Council and China Ceramic Industrial Association, and the Outstanding Achievement Award by Jiangxi provincial government.
