吴永平

中央美术学院教授,硕博导师,国礼艺术中心负责人。中国美术家协会陶瓷艺委会副主任,中国雕塑学会会员,中国工艺美术学会雕塑委员会副主任,中国职业技术教育学会常务理事,文化部评审专家,上海红坊艺术设计中心艺术总监,中国澄江化石地申报世界自然遗产艺术总监。
作品收藏于中国美术馆,中国历史博物馆,中国上海城市雕塑中心,上海红坊艺术设计中心,南非钻石文化艺术中心等。策划组织中国当代雕塑家作品邀请展。策划组织第一,第二届上海国际生活陶瓷博览会。策划“之间”—中央美术学院设计学院青年艺术家作品邀请展。策划组织“剥离”玻璃国际艺术展。策划组织“无物”—中国当代器物展等。
吴永平教授致力于中国传统文化再造,传统文化当代性表达,传统文化当代性式样研究。他主持成立的中央美术学院国礼艺术研创中心,旨在传统、继承、创新、发扬为前提,研究以国礼为主的创新设计,以文化外交为主导的文化推广。

Wu Yongping

Wu Yongping, professor and postgraduate supervisor of China’s Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), and head of the CAFA Center for National Gifts. Mr. Wu is vice director of Ceramic Art Committee at China Artists Association (CAA), a member of China Sculpture Institute (CSI), vice director of Sculpture Committee at China Arts and Crafts Association (CA&CA), standing director of The Chinese Society of Vocational and Technical Education, an evaluation expert for China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), art director of Shanghai Red Town Art Design Center, and art director of China Chengjiang Fossil Site Applying for UNESCO World Heritage Recognition.
His work is held in public collections at major institutions, including The National Art Museum of China (NAMOC), The National Museum of China (formerly The National Museum of Chinese History), Shanghai Sculpture Space, Shanghai Red Town Art Design Center and South Africa Center of Diamond Culture and Art. Mr. Wu curated and organized many prestigious exhibitions, including China Invitation Exhibition for Contemporary Sculptor’s Work, the 1st and 2nd Shanghai International Household Ceramics Fairs, “In Between” Invitation Exhibition for Yong Artist’s Work at CAFA School of Design, “Stripping” International Glass Contemporary Art Exhibition and “Nothing” China Contemporary Utensil Exhibition.
Prof. Wu Yongping is committed to driving reinvention, contemporary expression and style research on China’s traditional culture. The CAFA Innovation and Research Center for National Gifts, founded under his leadership, focuses on national gift-oriented innovative design and cultural diplomacy-dominated cultural promotion on the premise of tradition, inheritance, innovation and development.
